Visiting Hours

Patient care is our primary focus. To ensure that we are able to provide best quality care, we ask patients’ families and visitors to follow the visiting hours and regulations established for each unit.

  • All visitors must show a valid photo ID at the main entrance security desk.
  • Visitors to patients’ rooms must be at least 14 years of age.
  • Anyone with a cold, sore throat or any contagious disease should not visit patients.
  • No more than two visitors should be in a patient’s room at one time.
  • Visitors to semi-private rooms should be considerate of both patients.
  • Visitors should keep their visits short and be as quiet as possible.
  • Visitors may be asked to leave the room when a doctor or nurse needs to see a patient.
  • Flexible visiting arrangements may be made for families or friends of surgical patients on the day of surgery.
  • Visitors should ask before giving gifts of food or beverages since many patients have special or restricted diets.
  • Plants and flowers are not permitted in the critical care units.

General Visiting Hours: Sunday – Saturday,  11:00 a.m.– 8:00 p.m.*
*No children under the age of 14 are permitted unless otherwise approved.

Daily Critical Care Visiting Hours: 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. for 30 minutes every two hours; only two (2) visitors are permitted at a time–
11:00 – 11:30 a.m.
1:30 – 2:00 p.m.
3:30 – 4:00 p.m.
5:30 – 6:00 p.m.
7:30 – 8:00 p.m.

Behavioral Health Visiting Hours: Sunday – Saturday, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.

ATM Machines are located on the first (1st) floor, to the left of the security desk, and in the the Cafeteria on the second (2nd) floor.

Vending Machines are located in the Cafeteria on the second (2nd) floor and in the Emergency Room waiting area.

UMC is a Tobacco-Free Campus. To promote the health and safety of patients, staff, and visitors, smoking is not permitted in any area of the hospital or on the grounds.
